Long Beach Community Garden Mission Statement
To provide members with access to an assigned garden space, to support the production of healthy food for their families as well as the community, and to promote sustainable gardening practices.
About Us
The Long Beach Community Garden Association (LBCGA) is a 501 (c)(4) private, not-for-profit organization comprised solely of member volunteers. We provide a safe and attractive environment for persons desiring a place to grow edible produce. The garden plots are Kitchen Vegetable Gardens with the goal of saving money, providing a healthy source of fresh food, and having some fun in the process. There is nothing quite as satisfying as seeing something you have grown with your own hands on your dinner table. We are proud to share our produce with community missions and other charities in the community of Long Beach.
We Value Healthy Living…and so much more!

Our 303 plots go quickly for only $160 per year! Plots are approximately 20′ X 30′ (600 sq ft) with water access points shared by four plots. Gardening is required year-round in all plots. Membership fees cover water, manure for tilth, mulch for paths and disposal of garden waste and trash. The garden also owns an orchard on site which is managed by a committee, and its fruit is shared with all members.
