Long Beach Community Garden Association, Inc. Food Bank The Association has an extensive “Food Bank Program”.  We encourage each member to grow a row for the hungry or contribute any excess produce grown.  We also have 3 plots dedicated to growing for the Food Bank; it is maintained by the Food Bank Committee and includes planting, watering, harvesting etc. We deliver daily to Long Beach Area Charities including but not limited to the homeless, Veterans, Battered Women, Abused Children, Aids Hospice, and Unwed Mothers.  We also encourage our members who have home fruit trees to donate any excess fruit, canned goods, clothes, shoes, toys. Thousands of pounds of produce from our gardens feed the needy of our community with the generous donations of our members.  We are proud of our “Food Bank Program” and our Long Beach Community.
